There are two common themes that I have discovered in every high achiever I have come to know. I am talking 7 figure earners + the highest of achievers, people that I highly look up to and those two things are:
Freedom & Impact.
Not what I set out for when I started my businesses for sure. I was all about the money that could afford all the things. But 7-figure businesses and business owners have learned much through heartache, burnout and the endless rat race, that what we want most is beyond the money.
Freedom allows us to live the most fulfilled lives. Happy, creative, energized rather than struggling, stressed and depressed.
Impact allows us to create more than a business. It allows us to leave our marks, create a legacy beyond our dreams, it is what we are here for and what we will leave behind to be remembered by.
So how do we get to that level when we are still in the latter of the two phases? Maybe you are thinking, “Yeah sure.. I have a six figure biz and maybe I want more but I don’t have more time. I am already maxed out hustling day in and day out.”
Here is what I know to be true.
Understanding where you are is huge. But knowing where you want to go, the type of business you want to build and life you want to live is equally important. That said, building a business that is sustainable, scalable & predictable is crucial for you as a person as well as a business owner.
Too often we as entrepreneurs and business owners don’t understand a very important concept and that is, if your business can’t run successfully without you, you will get to a point where you can’t grow and scale your business. You will always be a business operator not an owner.
There are 6 pillars of business that you must get to know very well if you want to scale to 7-figures.
Product + Customers
Operations + Team
Each of these pillars are a vital part of all businesses that are looking to become a million-dollar, sustainable, scalable & predictable businesses.
MINDSET: You don’t have to be a millionaire to have a millionaire mindset. Millionaire mindset is incredibly different than the average one. Releasing the attachment to money, understanding risk, investing back into yourself and business. When going through your day or working through a problem, growing your business, I want you to ask yourself “What would a millionaire do in this situation?”
PRODUCTS & CUSTOMERS: Find a need and solve it. Strategically add value to your customer’s life. Your product or service and its price is not a personal reflection, you have to add value to your consumers so they can buy from you again and again. What value do you offer?
LEAD GENERATION: This is where you leverage your hustle. You have to figure out how to have a steady stream of leads coming into your business, WHILE YOU SLEEP. Yes you need to work your sphere, database, network BUT you also need to understand paid ads, lead generation and marketing funnels. This is what will take you from 6 to 7 figures and take you out of the main hustle role.
SALES: Knowing your value gives you confidence, but having the ability to communicate that value boosts your bottom-line. To go from 6 to 7-figures, you need to develop your sales muscles. A consistent flow of qualified leads coming in the door and booked calendar takes away that scarcity mindset and allows you to connect, serve, and work with people you love vs people running in the opposite direction.
OPERATIONS + TEAM: Sorry but it is a must. So many of us entrepreneurs are visionaries and don’t really want to deal with the details of operations. We also like to “work alone”.
Listen! You don’t have to have a massive team but you need a team and you need standard operating systems and procedures if you are going to scale. This allows you as the owner to step into the CEO role or maybe even investor role (completely stepped out). It allows you to work in your zone of genius taking the business to the next level, and it allows your team and people to thrive and grow. The best part is you can hire people to oversee these areas so you can focus on what you do best; creating the vision.
FINANCIALS: Know your numbers! You can’t make good business decisions flying blind or only looking 30 days ahead at a time. Putting these pillars in place allow predictability and sustainability. Knowing 90 days of income ahead not just goals of income, which then allows you to make important decisions of when and how to scale your business, and what to invest in.
Take some time to go over these 6 pillars of business and write down where you are at in each area. Maybe you aren’t anywhere yet but write down your thoughts and feelings about that specific pillar. This will allow you the clarity of what you may need to work towards next to build your 7 figure business.
It is possible! I promise.
