Our favorite green smoothie!
I love it when I’m on a role with eating well. It makes me feel good. I am happier, more energized, have more focus and clarity. I feel strong. I feel confident. I feel good.
I have learned through the years how much food effects your mental and physical world. Like the saying “you are what you eat”. Of course I love me some pizza and ice cream occasionally but I do my best to nourish my body and fuel it with choices that are going to help me get through my crazy schedule.
And of course… now that we have a baby babes in the house, it’s extremely important for me to teach her healthy habits. Give her little brain and body the nourishment to grow and thrive. Not to mention, the choices that I am making for her are literally shaping her future habits. That is a big deal and something I do not take lightly!
So today I am sharing one of our favorite healthy treats! Seriously we have these 2-3 nights a week. Especially during the summer months 🙂 Disclosure…I do everything by taste and am a visual measurer so these are approximate…make it yours!
2-3 fresh kale leaves
1 cup of frozen mango
1/2 a banana
1/4 organic greek non-fat yogurt (I love the Wallaby brand)
1/4 cup of almond milk
Blend together (I use a Magic Bullet) and enjoy!
