Let’s talk about some of the gems that I’ve uncovered in my business in the last couple of weeks that have been proud moments for me. 2018 has not been a walk in the park by any means but I’ve taken great lessons away that I want to share with YOU!

– Self-Care
Self-care is huge! You can put so much underneath that. Make it a priority to make time for yourself. When you give your body and mind a chance to regroup you will be surprised at the energy and mindset that you bring back to your business. Take time to spend with your family, your loved ones and your friends –  give back to yourself.

Also, when you step away and give your mind (& body!) rest you bring fresh new ideas to your business. So, allow yourself to have lunch with a girlfriend, take a Friday off, get a pedicure and most importantly love on your family during the holidays. – Goal- Setting
If you have clarity on what you want in your life, what you want in your business, if you can get crystal clear on that, your life is going to go places. You can literally create anything that you want in your life, but you have to get clear on it first. Sometimes we set these big, crazy goals and we don’t achieve them and we think we can’t accomplish them, and that’s not the case at all.

My favorite from Tony Robbins, “we overestimate, hugely overestimate what we can do in one year’s time and like hugely underestimate what we can do in like three decades or a lifetime.” So if you think about that for a minute, the goals that we set for ourselves in a year, maybe we don’t hit them in a year. Maybe it takes us a couple years, but if you stay the course, I promise you, you’re going to achieve that goal.

If you have the vision, if you believe it, you will achieve it. Set goals for every aspect of your life and get really specific. A tool that I use to really help me can be found in the next takeaway…Vision Boards.

– Vision Boards
I’m creating vision boards for my businesses separately and I’m setting income goals in all different areas of my businesses and getting really clear on that. It’s really exciting and I think, “Okay, what’s the why behind this?” When I got all my stuff to start doing this, this really incredible thing that I realized is that I took out some boards that I’ve had I don’t ever throw away my vision boards.

So oftentimes I have all of these little cork boards of previous vision boards that I’ve done. I’ve been doing them for probably 10-15 years. It’s fun to look back and see what I have accomplished, what door has or has not opened. Creating a vision board is easy; cut out quotes, pictures, goals, vision of what you see for yourself and your business in 2019. – Look Within
Look within to find your way in life and build your life for you, that creative element, that special hot sauce of your flavor. Whatever it is, however you want to name it – I learned from Marie Forleo that one of the biggest mistakes owners make, especially in the beginning is hiring out marketing, because marketing is your voice. It is you! No one else can figure that out by you.

Steve Jobs was like no other, and in his own words, “Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your inner voice.” Don’t allow someone to tell you how to do something if it’s not right for you, because it won’t work, I promise you. It will not work! What may work great for someone else may not work for you because it’s not yours! Find your own hot sauce and run with it – even if others think you’re crazy. Give yourself more credit.

– You don’t have to have all the answers
Please know, you do not have to know all the answers. You don’t want to know all the answers in the beginning because that’s part of the journey. Things are going to appear when they need to appear. They’re going to present themselves at the right time, at the right place. You just have to be open to receiving it. But no one’s going to be able to wave a magic wand and get you from point A (zero) to a million overnight. Enjoy the process and learn as you go!

If you’re not in the right place or in the right space within your business, maybe it doesn’t resonate with you as much, but these are some big ones for me that I’m going to be taking into 2019 and reminding myself of these things. I hope you all are starting to think about your 2019 goals. If you haven’t set them yet, that’s cool, totally cool. But let’s start thinking about
our 2019 goals!
