When it comes to investments and putting money into my business, the most important investment I have ever made was to invest in myself. Coaches, mastermind groups, live events, Tony Robbins conferences, retreats…I know it sounds cliche to say, but they have truly not only completely changed the way I run my business, but they have changed my life as a whole.
Here’s the thing. When you’re investing in yourself, and literally thousands of dollars a month on your growth, it can feel self indulgent. But one of the things I’ve learnt is that it’s not just you who benefits. Your business benefits. Your team benefits. Your clients benefit. Even your family benefits, as you learn the tools to make sure you CAN have it all. It’s so powerful.
The major question I get when talking about these things is “how much does it cost?”. I’m going to be honest here and say that I think this is the wrong question. Yes, masterminds, coaches, retreats cost a lot of money. Of course they do! I’ve invested thousands of dollars every month to be part of the mastermind I was in that just ended. BUT I think the right questions are…was it worth it? Did you see a return on your investment? THESE questions I can wholeheartedly answer as a yes!
These groups and programs are all aimed at giving you accountability, strategy, resources, a network of incredible like minded people. No matter what stage of business you are at, you can’t put a price tag on that kind of insight. That kind of growth. The value you receive every day. I can honestly say I wouldn’t be where I am today without it.
So as we move to the end of 2018, what does your 2019 look like? What goals do you have? What support do you need? What investments can you make in yourself to help you move further, faster? Whether it is a Mastermind, group coaching program, mentor program…whatever you choose, I highly encourage you to start exploring options, start budgeting out what that looks like and figure out how you are going to make it happen.
